Production Blog: The End of Editing

As far as editing, I have edited the duration of my clips, put them in order, and added music to my production. I also took the criticism from my film review to add the titles to the News broadcast and edit the music. I decided to mix two separate audios in order to create the score. I wanted the first section of my audio to include royalty-free music from the 50s or 60s that transitioned into creepy, ominous music.  While the older tunes create an ominous tone and set the mood, however adding the creepy music to the second part of my production furthers its effect. In order to do this, I had to completely restart all the work I did on my audio previously. So, I reuploaded the new audio clips into Microsoft and fused the two sounds together! This was difficult to pick up at first and I had to watch another tutorial on Youtube! I am so grateful for the tools I have that help me to further my skills in Media production. After this, I downloaded the music as an Mp4 file and uploaded it to my production. Next, I had to add all of my titles to my production. I had already planned these out so it was a matter of timing them and perfecting the placement on the screen.  I did some basic math and divided the number of titles by the number of scenes in my production. This helped me space out my titles evenly. After this, I added a blank text box to each scene just to visualize the timing. After playing the video back I discovered the last credit was way too late, giving the viewer no time to read it. So, I moved this title back around 5 seconds. This completely solved the issue! I copied all my textual elements to my production and made sure the font was correct. After showing my partners the finished product I waited for their feedback. Addison was not in love with the font of the titles so we all agreed to change them! Connor and Mya discovered that we forgot to add the audio of Ashley screaming, so I recorded Addison screaming. I had Connor edit this into our production! My group was just as happy as I was with the completion of editing!
