Finishing touches

Today was my second day of editing. After finishing the split screen for my videos. I had to finish a few more scenes of the actresses leading up to the party. First, a scene showing the actresses meeting up and giving high-fives. This shot was filmed using a tracking shot and took a lot of takes during filming. I had over 10 takes of this shot to look through! In this shot my group members and I were all pictured, so I needed someone else to film rather than Mya, my normal camera girl. So, I instructed my male actor to film. Since this shot was filmed from a back profile I could not see what he was filming. Unfortunately he filmed the scenes vertically instead of horizontally. After talking with my group mates I decided everyone decided to return to my house after school. After arriving everyone got dressed into their costumes and makeup, I filmed the 5th scene over again. After filming I reviewed the takes and sent everyone home. Now that I had the scene filmed to correct way, landscape, I continued editing. The next scene was a close up of all the actresses preparing to enter the location of the party. The next scene was a close up zooming into the main characters imagination. This scene was very hard to make the correct length as it had to include the direct zoom into the actors thoughts. The next scene was a spin shot of my male actor singing to the main character. This was very hard to line up with the audio with the clips, as I had stated earlier. Next, I edited the POV shot and trimmed it to the right length. I trimmed the length of the actors jumping and dancing, and the DJ. Finally, my last scene needed a freeze-frame to be added. I researched how to do this then edited it in, and filming was done!
