The end of editing
Today was my second day of editing, I knew I had to add music to my commercial. First, I began to look for a song that fit the mood and theme that my commercial had. I wrote down a list of 3 songs and individually played each one of them at the same time my commercial was playing in order to see which one would fit best. I quickly eliminated one of the songs as it was too slow and did not match the mood of my commercial. The other 2 songs were very similar and energetic, so I had a hard time choosing between them. I ended up picking the song “Can’t Hold Us” because it fit the energetic theme of usual Adidas commercials. It was very challenging figuring out how to add music to my commercial. I found an article on the Internet that helped me convert the YouTube video to an MP4 file. I followed the article closely and downloaded an app that allowed me to convert my music into an MP4 file. I first had to download the video onto my phone and then uploaded the video onto the app. The app converted the downloaded song into an MP4 file, after this I redownload the file in its correct form and put it into iMovie over my commercial. Next, I needed to trim the audio to the correct length. I decided to pick the most upbeat part of the song and I set it to the correct length for our commercial. After this, I reviewed the commercial to make sure the audio matched perfectly. I realized that the original audio of the clips had been playing in the background. I made sure to go back and mute each clip before checking it. After this, it was time to add the final touch, the Adidas slogan. I added the Adidas slogan into the final scene of my commercial. It was placed here so the watcher could know the brand and be encouraged to buy the product.
